VEAM
VEAM (Voyage Efficiency & Arrival Model) is a program that helps to calculate the actual time of arrival of a vessel at the port (ETA) and assess the efficiency of the voyage, taking into account the operating conditions and port load.
VEAM combines data on the voyage, fuel consumption, speed, engine operation, weather and port situation to:
- Predict the actual time of arrival, taking into account possible waiting in the roadstead
- Calculate the voyage efficiency index
- Show where the voyage becomes economically inefficient
- Provide simple recommendations for reducing fuel consumption
The program is suitable for shipowners, operators and charterers, IT specialists in the maritime industry - as a tool for voyage analytics and supporting operational decisions in real time.
